The Black Management Forum is hosting a timely discussion that aims to reflect on the State of the Nation Address that will be tabled by President Cyril Ramaphosa. It is critical for us all to reflect on the state of our nation amidst the myriad of current social and economic challenges that the country is engulfed with.
The purpose of this event is to gather thought leaders from different walks of life, lobby and advocacy groups, institutions of higher education, the private sector and government to engage and deliberate on the fundamental issues that will emanate from the SONA. In addition to this, this discussion allows the BMF to sharpen its voice on matters of national importance.
This discussion will galvanize all of us to appreciate the importance of economic transformation and empowerment especially for the historically marginalized population, inclusive of women and youth. Our panelists will critically evaluate the President’s plans that will be outlined from the SONA and provide insights on how these could potentially be implemented, to advance the mandate of transformation.
In mapping a clear path for 2024 and beyond, the BMF will constructively drive the key outcomes of the discussions to formulate policy inputs to address systematic barriers to transformation and create an enabling environment for empowerment, economic participation and advancement.
